All praise be to Allaah, Lord of all that Exists.
To follow the Quran and Sunnah as understood and conveyed by the Companions of our beloved Nabi Muhammed (salalaahu alayhi wasalam), and the righteous Imams and scholars in every generation (collectively referred to as the Salafus Saalih. This is the Salafi methodology.
The Prophet Muhammad mentioned in the famous Hadeeth, narrated by ‘Imraan bin Husayn:
“Verily the best among you is my generation, then those who follow, and then those who follow them…” (Saheeh Muslim)
With the guidance of the scholars and students of knowledge, we seek to call our community and city to this uniting methodology. It is the call to remove all types of extremism and innovations in belief and worship and return the people back to the same belief and methodology the Prophet left us upon. It is the call to understand the Quran and Sunnah upon the understanding of the Companions, for indeed our Prophet warned and informed us that this Ummah will split into sects and parties.
The Prophet said:
“Indeed, the people of the Book before you split-up into seventy-two sects. And this nation will split-up into seventy-three sects, seventy two are in the Fire and one is in Paradise.”
(Hasan: Related by Aboo Daawood (no. 4597)
In another narration;
“All of them are in the Fire except one.” It was asked, ‘who is that one?’ He replied, “That which I and my Companions are upon.”
(Hasan: Related by at-Tirmidhee (5/62) and al-Haakim (1/128) and others. It was authenticated by al-Haafidh al-’Iraaqee in Takhreejul-Ihyaa‘(3/199) and al-Albaanee in as-Saheehah (no. 204))
